Bel-Art Products is a privately held corporation operating across four physical sites in three states with the primary operational functions of manufacturing, assembly, sourcing, and global distribution. Manufacturing capabilities include injection molding, blow molding, rotational molding, compression insert molding, CNC formed wire and metal products, coating, sewing, and plastic fabrication. Our primary markets include the analytical and biological laboratories, clinical laboratories and home health care.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced, HANDS ON, Machine Shop Lead
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Person, must be able to backup department foreman in his absence, supervisor staff and set work flow for the day
- Must be able to backup department foreman in his absence, which will include supervising staff and setting schedule for the day
- Create CNC programs and edit existing programs as needed
- Set up and operate milling and CNC Lathe machines, surface grinder, press brake, cut off saw and drill press
- Read Blue Prints and use measuring instruments
Work within tolerances of .001 to .0015 - Keep time records
- Work in other areas as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 yrs. experience programming CNC machines and capable of Editing existing programs when needed
- 5+ yrs. Experience on CNC and manual machines
- Must be able to use OKUMA Control
- Prior Supervisory experience helpful, but not required
- Computer skills, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English written and verbally
