Marketing Communications – SP Scienceware
Location: Wayne, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt
SP Scienceware is seeking a Marketing Communications professional to join our team. The incumbent will work cooperatively with the entire SP Industries marketing, sales and product management teams as well as our distribution partners to drive sales growth by effectively merchandising, promoting and communicating the value proposition of SP Scienceware and the assigned brands. Strong writing, analytical, and creative skills as well as a knowledge of best practices for implementing an Integrated Marketing Communications strategy that includes print collateral, advertising, educational initiatives, web content, digital marketing and trade and end user events within business to business sales channels are required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Participate in brand strategy working collaboratively to analyze sales and industry data as well as consumer insights to develop effective demand creation programs and brand messaging.
Work with the electronic marketing team to develop and execute on-line initiatives to drive growth including rich content for each brand, digital marketing programs and direct e-commerce sales.
Participate as a product launch team member for assigned brands driving the development of launch materials including catalog and web copy, literature pieces, press releases and media kits, email announcements, micro sites and other strategies as determined by launch team.
Engage with distributors and SP Scienceware sales team to execute customized merchandising programs.
Liaise with sales team and product management to drive catalog review and product recommendations for distributor catalogs.
Champion rich, accurate and complete product content through portals engaged in the sale of SP Scienceware products including regular reviews and updates to distributor assets such as web site and catalog content.
Communicate product changes and updates to internal teams as well as the customer base; update materials as appropriate.
Manage trade show booths and exhibitions including pre- and post-show activities to achieve established goals and objectives.
Coordinate with internal and external graphic design, photography, web, print production and other identified resources to achieve established initiatives.
Additional responsibilities as warranted to fulfill sales and marketing initiatives.
Travel up to 40%, including visits to internal office locations with overnight stays approximately once per week.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the minimum qualifications cited.
Education, Experience, and Work Skills
Educational background in a scientific discipline preferred; Chemistry a plus.
Experience or knowledge of web copy development to maximize SEO preferred.
Experience or knowledge of graphic design, digital media, advertising and development protocol for catalogs preferred.
Experience in a B to B setting utilizing distribution channels preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to present scientific products and information in a clear, concise format.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, tracking and meeting deadlines.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including Powerpoint and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, database management.
