Is it possible to use Flowmi 40 µm strainers to capture the "objects" larger than 40 µm and then extract DNA and RNA by direct lysis in Flowmi and elution?
In short, Flowmi™ Cell Strainers are made from a porous polyethylene plastic. As for the DNA/RNA extractions, I must ask you: would this require it to be RNA-ase and DNA-ase free?
We do not have the proper certifications for Flowmi™ to be able to say it is RNA/DNA-ase free, but I do believe this way of capturing and processing tissues/cells for DNA/RNA extraction sounds very viable and interesting!
I’d love to know how this works out for you when/if you run the experiment.
