Sales Tax and Exempt Orders

**Effective 10/1/21, SP Industries is updating its system of record and is thereby requesting cop(ies) of Customer sales tax exemption certificates for all applicable ship-to states. Please remit signed cop(ies) to [email protected]. If this has already been completed, we thank you for your assistance; please kindly ignore this request.

Bel-Art SP Scienceware is required by law to charge sales tax on items shipping to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland. If your organization is located in one of these states and you wish to use your tax exempt status, you must place all orders through a registered account.

When registering your account you should upload a copy of your tax exempt certificate through our account portal before placing your first order. Your certificate will be reviewed and if accepted your account status will be changed to ‘Tax Exempt’.

If we do not have your certificate on file we are required to charge sales tax.

If in the future you elect to check-out as a GUEST and do not log into your account, we must charge sales tax in the named states on that order.
